When to replace a battery
Lithium packs are generally good for more than 400 charge cycles. Once a pack that ran a full shift starts dying by mid-shift, replace it rather than nursing it.
Approved batteries only
Use the battery supplied or an Inrico-approved one, and keep keys, coins and jewellery away from the exposed contacts.
Covert earpieces
For customer-facing floors, where staff need to hear the channel without the people around them hearing it too.
NFC patrol tags
Small tags that stick to a gate, a substation door or the far corner of a yard, tapped with the radio on every round.
Spares by radio
T522A and T521
The battery and the covert earpiece.
S100 and S200
A battery for each, and the covert earpiece they share.
T700 and T710A
The covert earpiece fits both, and the T710 battery is listed too.
TM-7, TM-8 and TM-9 vehicle radios
The hand microphone fits all three; the 12V power supply fits the TM-7 and TM-8.
Looking after a radio in the field
Rinse dust off IP-rated bodies rather than blowing it into the seams, keep the charging contacts clean and dry, and clean the housing with a mild detergent rather than a solvent.
Replace a swollen battery straight away instead of carrying on charging it.
Questions we get asked
What warranty do batteries carry?
6 months. The radio itself carries 12 months. Physical damage is not covered on either.
How do I know which battery fits my radio?
Each battery is listed with the radios it fits. If you are unsure, send us the model on the radio's label and we will confirm before you order.
Do you deliver outside Gauteng?
Yes, we ship nationally, or you can collect from our office in Dawnview.
