Mobile PoC radios
4G vehicle radios for drivers and fleets
The TM-9 and TM-7 Plus mount in the cab, run off the vehicle's power and take an external antenna. A truck on the N3 stays on the same channel as the yard it left, because coverage is the mobile network's, not a repeater's.
Vehicle radios
2 products. Prices exclude VAT.
Built for the cab
Both units mount properly and run off vehicle power, with an external antenna for the best signal on the road.
Where every vehicle is
Each radio reports its position to Dispatcher, so the control room sees every vehicle live and can play back the route it drove.
Geofences around depots and sites
Draw a fence around a site in Dispatcher and get an alert when a radio user enters or leaves it, on the days and hours you choose.
A speaker the driver can hear
The TM-9 has a 5W speaker and the TM-7 Plus a 4W speaker, and both take a hand microphone.
TM-9 or TM-7 Plus
The bigger screen and more connections
A 4-inch OLED touch screen, a 5W speaker, and connections for an external camera, a headset and an external GPS antenna.
The smaller unit
A 2.45-inch touch display and a 4W speaker, running on 12 to 24V.
Vehicles and handhelds on one system
Vehicle radios join the same talk groups as the handhelds, so a driver, the yard staff and the control room talk on one channel. The control room can speak to all of them from the Dispatcher console.
Fitting and accessories
A hand microphone for the TM-7, TM-8 and TM-9, a 12V power supply for the TM-7 and TM-8, antennas and a pigtail antenna cable are on the accessories page.
Questions we get asked
Do vehicle radios work outside the city?
They work wherever the mobile network has signal. There is no repeater, so there is no repeater range to drive out of.
Can drivers talk to people on handheld radios?
Yes. Vehicle radios and handhelds join the same talk groups, and the control room can talk to both from the Dispatcher console.
Can we see where our vehicles have been?
Yes. Dispatcher shows live positions and plays back a radio's route for the date and time range you choose, with up to three days of tracking data at a time.
Are the vehicle radios type approved?
Yes. The TM-9 carries ICASA type approval TA-2021/3121 and the TM-7 Plus TA-2018/3886, each linked from its product page.
